Job Summary:
The Airport Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of an airport facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations while meeting regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating and supervising various airport activities, including terminal operations, ground services, aircraft maintenance, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate all airport operations, including terminal services, ground operations, security, maintenance, and airfield activities.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international aviation regulations, safety standards, and security procedures.
3. Develop and implement effective operational strategies to optimize airport performance and enhance customer experience.
4. Monitor and manage the airport budget, including revenue generation, cost control, and resource allocation.
5. Collaborate with airlines, ground service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and seamless operation of airport services.
6. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of airport staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
7. Maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, government authorities, and industry bodies to stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
8. Implement and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring the airport is prepared for any contingencies or crises.
9. Monitor and analyze airport performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as required.
10. Stay informed about emerging industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, and provide recommendations for their implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Business Administration, or a related field. (Mandatory)
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in airport management or related roles. (Mandatory)
3. In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and security procedures. (Mandatory)
4. Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team. (Mandatory)
